Why We Should Not Have School

We should not have school.People get pressured,People have more important things and it will help the country.

People get pressured because people get busy and miss out on homework so they get stressed. People shut down when they get 586+1346 wrong. Some teachers teach kids stuff and dive into another thing so the kids forget.

People have more important things like at my house we have a foal that has an allergy and I’m supposed to look after her. Some people have 1 pet and parents that go out for work so the pets alone. People like to go out for holidays but there are “important exams” in the way.

It will help the country because we can use the money to save animals. We can replace the land for plants and trees. Lots of people drive to schools so removing them will mean less pollution. At schools there is lots of plastic littered so removing schools will help the environment

Why We Should Not Learn Math

We should not learn math! What’s the point?   It’s hard! Math is weird.

What’s the point?  When in life will we need to use the square root of x ? Why do we need 3 strategies just to solve 58-19?

It’s hard! How are 9 year olds supposed to solve 685-249? What is this mess of  x4=z1?

Math is weird. Why are letters allowed in math? Why do we need decimals and square roots.

That’s why we should not learn math!

The Bush

At our school we did a writing test to see how we have done over the years. This is the writing I have done.

We were at Zealandia on November 6th 2018 on a bright sunny Tuesday. The surroundings were a luscious lime green with cocoa grounds. Our director Bob led us into a place called the bird bush. We saw Tui's, Kaka's, Toutouwai and even Hihi! But I saw something else. A stoat! It was eating a Hihi egg too! I whispered to Bob "Look, a stoat." Bob was surprised when he saw it. He called the staff while my friend May was taking and deleting photos and claimed she saw a Popokotea. The staff finally came but the stoat got away. We quietly ran after it. We finally caught up and I scooped up the stoat. I gave it to the staff and they said I could help spot predators at Zealandia. I said yes and came every day and saw lots of rats, possums and stoats.
